Dwight & Carol Thomas have an ongoing ministry in the Zambian BIC Church and with Sikalongo Bible Institute, the prevalent training center for the majority of the Zambian BIC church's pastors.

The Thomases have purchased space on a shipping container for donated goods to send to Sikalongo Bible Institute sometime after mid-April. If you would be interested in donating goods for this shipment, here are the things they can use:

BOOKS-good condition only, please

  • Children's books-easy reader books, beginner bible stories, beginner chapter books, culturally neutral (no American holidays)
  • Religious books-concordances, commentaries, bibles, theology, church history
  • BIC books-Davidson, Climenhaga, Wittlinger, Sider, BIC Historical Journal
  • Other books-history, science & medicine (recent), geography, social sciences, agriculture, sewing, carpentry, electrical, automotive
  • Educational books-current world and science maps, flash cards, activity books, pens, pencils

Other Things
  • Sports-volley ball nets & collapsed balls, Frisbees
  • Clothes (good condition)-leather dress shoes, sneakers, men's sport coats, dress shirts, ties
  • Hand Tools-carpentry, plumbing, electrical, garden tools, new paint brushes
  • Computers-good working computers (desk or laptop-flat screen monitors only), printers (preferably laser with cartridges)
  • Sewing and office equip-good scissors, needles, rulers, staplers

If you have questions, please call the Thomases. You can also call Carol to arrange a time to drop things off at their house (575-7502). Items need to be received prior to April 7 in order to have enough time to pack for the shipping container.
