Whiter than Snow devotional

Due to the Great Snow of 2016, all services on Sunday, January 24, are cancelled. As a simple substitute, we put this together on Friday.

For further study and discussion...

Isaiah 1:16–20

  • In what ways are you "learning to do right?"
  • How can we better, "seek justice and defend the oppressed"?
  • How can we tangibly impact Elizabethtown and the surrounding area in these ways?

Psalm 51
  • In what ways is God currently creating a clean heart within you?
Think of a time in your life when you saw vs 10-12 at work.
  • What was God doing?
  • How was God at work in your life at the time?
  • In what ways has remembering those times spurred you on to further faithful service to him?

Psalm 103, I Corinthians 10:13
  • How is God "making himself known" to you? Your friends and/or family members?
  • In what tangible ways does God "work righteousness and justice for all the oppressed?"
  • Are there currently relationships in your life where you could be far more "compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in love?"
  • How will you do that moving forward?
  • How can we communicate this truth as a church, as we go about our daily lives in Elizabethtown and beyond?

I John 1
  • To what extent is your fellowship with others defined by light as described in vs. 7?
  • In what ways is it easiest to believe that we are without sin?
  • How can we further develop our fellowship with one another?
