Serve the World Sunday 2017

Each year our church sets aside a Sunday in June to highlight the Serve the World part of our mission. We work together on various projects throughout our community meeting needs. Projects include yard work, painting, general maintenance, visitation, and outreach. Projects also exist for those wanting to serve at the church including making soup, packing school kits and prayer. On this day, we join together for one worship service and then we go out in groups to provide various forms of service in the community. Let's make this another way to put our vision into practice together.

Following the time of service, everyone is invited to the church picnic at EBIC/Fairgrounds to fellowship together and share our experiences. Bring a side dish or dessert, chairs and yard games. Please contact someone on staff if you have questions about this event.

As part of Serve the World Sunday, we will be packaging school kits for MCC and are requesting donations of the following be placed in the lobby bins by May 31:

  • spiral or perforated notebooks (8½" x 10½", 70 sheets)
  • unsharpened pencils
  • ruler (flat, flexible plastic; indicating both 30 cm and 12 )
  • 12 colored pencils (in packaging)
  • large pencil eraser

Do you know individuals or families without a church home who are in need? If so, we'd like to help them on Serve the World Sunday. Please contact Terry Olko at compassion@etownbic.org with information.
