Our Fellowship Groups are meant to foster fellowship within stage-of-life groupings. Fellowship Groups meet Sunday mornings from 9:40-10:10 AM. All groups are open to singles or couples. The groups also get together regularly for social events and provide a good context for developing close, interpersonal relationships. If you are not currently part of a group, consider joining one! We're the youngest of the Fellowship Groups made up of high school graduates through mid-20's. We meet during Fellowship Group as well as Sunday School time for prayer, fellowship, and a study of topics as they relate to Scripture. We have occasional social events and ministry opportunities during which we try to include individuals who live away from the EBIC area, but are home for a visit. Our events usually include food, which is an important part of young adult life!
New Creation is for "20 somethings." Time is spent in fellowship, sharing what is happening in our lives and in prayer. We enjoy getting together for fellowship activities such as Sunday afternoon lunch and social nights. We realize the importance of time together in a variety of contexts and love to find ways to grow with each other.
The Disciples are a growing group with a variety of members ranging in age from their mid-20's to late 30's. The group enjoys recreational activities such as game nights, cooking groups, BBQ's as well as service-oriented projects. The group continually looks to support and encourage each other through mutual sharing, love, and prayer.
Members of the Followers Fellowship Group range in age from mid-30's to mid-40's. The group includes parents with children, infant to 13 years old. Sharing praises, concerns, and praying are a regular part of their Sunday morning time together. Social events range from annual events, such as a fall harvest party, Christmas gathering, and a summer ice cream social, to occasional cooking parties, picnics, movie nights, and camping trips.
Agape is a family-oriented fellowship group. Parent's ages range from the late 30's to the late 40's. Children's ages range from elementary to young adults. The group is focused on fellowship with each other and support in our walk with the Lord. We plan monthly activities outside the church to foster our fellowship group unity and outreach.
The Searchers is EBIC's newest fellowship group. They are mostly "40 somethings" +/- a few years with school age children ranging from middle school to college. The Searchers are a relaxed group of adults who are beginning to take time to rekindle and develop their relationships as their children are maturing. Their outside-the-church socials are normally family events taking place both inside and outside members' homes. Their Sunday mornings include time to discuss current family happenings, while raising concerns and praises. They also have made offerings in support of local charitable groups and causes. The Searchers are still developing and evolving taking ideas from other groups' activities while also keeping an open mind for new ways to celebrate and share with fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
Most of the people in Believers Fellowship Group are in their 40's and 50's. Children range in age from school age to adult. We include a regular time for sharing and prayer. Social events are planned throughout the year.
Cornerstone is a "40 or 50 something" low-key fellowship group with children ranging in age from elementary to college. On Sunday mornings they meet for sharing and prayer and some planning of yearly gatherings like a Christmas dinner, a Bread and Soup dinner, a summer outing, and a September picnic. Leadership is shared month by month by volunteers who lead the fellowship time. They keep absent members abreast of prayers and activities through e-mail. Some members can't be there on Sunday mornings, but can and do come to their great parties.
The Seekers Fellowship Group is generally people in their 40's or 50's. Sunday morning fellowship group time is spent sharing praises, prayer concerns, and "God moments." Regular fellowship activities provide a casual time for people to grow in supportive relationships. The group has visited members' work places in an effort to get to know each other better. Service projects and reaching out in care is also a response to God's call.
The Koinonia Fellowship Group is a thankful group of people in their 50's and 60's who enjoy spending time together on Sunday mornings for a time of fellowship, sharing, and prayer. They also participate in other planned activities throughout the year. Several traditions have evolved for them over the years. One is a summer picnic and the other a New Year's Eve party. They also raise funds to annually support three SPICE children as well as donate to several causes within the church and community.
The Ambassador Fellowship Group is for our seniors. They intentionally focus both internally and externally. Sharing and prayer are regular features of their meeting times as they learn to know and support each other better. Fellowship is fostered by such events as a summer picnic, bus trips, and meeting in annually re-organized "dinner for eight" groups.
Relating to our broader world, the Ambassadors are actively involved in supporting a number of scholarships for young students in India. Presently, they are enjoying a partnership relationship with a BIC church in northeast India.
