- Wednesday nights, 7-8:30
Adult Choir is made up of people of our congregation who enjoy singing with others and want to use their voice to worship our Savior. We sing in four distinct seasons:
- September-October is general praise
- November-December is Advent/Christmas
- January through April is lent/Easter
- During May, the choir splits to form a men's and women's ensemble and each takes one Sunday to lead worship.
Men's ensemble also leads a few other Sunday mornings throughout the year. Those who can't commit to an entire year of choir may join for a particular season. One of last year's highlight was providing the vocal support behind a community sing-along at EBIC of the Christmas portion of Handel's Messiah, complete with chamber orchestra (most from our own congregation) and professional soloists.
Adult Choir also functions much like a "small group". Every rehearsal includes time to pray for each other and the church. We also do outside caroling events around Christmas for the elderly in addition to our devotional time of singing. Although music reading ability is helpful, no prior knowledge of music is required to join. Those who are in choir simply desire to contribute a voice to help lead a community of worshipers for God's glory.
